Expiration, unpublishing and recovery

Understand link lifetime, paused access and retained files.

Free sites last 24 hours

The clock starts at the site's first activation. Publishing another version does not reset it. When the time is up the site is deleted: its files, versions, drafts and traffic data are removed and its address becomes available to others. Export anything you need, or upgrade, before it expires.

Do not use a Free link as a permanent portfolio or long-running course resource. Choose an available paid plan for ongoing hosting and verify its limits before sharing.

Unpublish or archive

Unpublishing stops public content and releases active-site capacity. Archiving organizes the dashboard; a live archived site still uses active-site capacity. Retained deployment files can continue counting toward storage.

Subscription transitions

Canceling a recurring paid subscription keeps the paid entitlement through the paid-through date. After that, paused recovery access lasts 7 days. Prepaid plans have their own paid-through date; check the billing page for your actual account.

A payment confirmation and the account entitlement can arrive at different times for asynchronous methods. Check the billing workflow rather than repeatedly paying for an unresolved transaction.

Delete deliberately

Deleting a project stops serving it and removes its associated recoverable content according to the product's deletion process. Download a copy of work you need before requesting deletion. Do not treat version history as an external backup.

For an account-level data or access request, use workspace support. Include the relevant project context without credentials. See limits for storage and active-site rules.
